Movie news for 08.06.2017 – Al Pacino will play the infamous football coach


Al Pacino is going to play the famous American football coach Joe Paterno in the film HBO TV channel dedicated to the so-called scandal of Jerry Sandusky.

Joseph Vincent Paterno’s 45 years was the head coach of American football team the Penn State Nittany Lions one of the colleges of the University of Pennsylvania. The team was very successful, and under his leadership, has won numerous awards. In 2011, Paterno, or as it was called Joe PA, was in the midst of a sex scandal involving his underling Jerry Sandusky – the coach training defenders.
