In the center of the plot are one man and seven women. Wounded Yankee, John Makbarney (Farrell), a corporal in the Union army, was saved from the death of a young Confederate from southern boarding school. The women’s team is caring for him and doing everything for his treatment. John soon begins to recover and understand what a fertile place it has led the fate. One by one the girls are fascinated by the charming recovering. Gradually the atmosphere in the school is heating up — each wants to win the handsome men. Soon jealousy, deceit and resentment come to replace the intimacy and warmth.
