Jim Carrey, though he starred mostly in Comedy films, not everybody liked the colleagues: so, the actor spoke about his hater ‒ Tommy Lee Jones, with whom the actor starred in the ill-fated “Batman Forever.”
“I was in a restaurant and the waiter said to me: “Oh, I heard you shot with Tommy Lee Jones. He just eats around the corner”. I immediately went to him to say hi, but when I approached and asked, “what’s up?”, Tommy instantly turned pale. He was all shaking and looked as if day and night just dreaming about how to kill me. It was just before a very important scene involving our characters,” recalls Kerry.
Jim continues: “Tommy stood up and hugged me, whispering: “I hate you. I don’t like you”. I said, “Whoa, man, what’s the matter?”. I jokingly grabbed and lifted the chair that was probably not the smartest decision. It Tommy said, “I hate your clown”.
“In those days, he was very complex man. I think Tommy simply didn’t like his role, and he didn’t want to be there, but who knows,” added the actor.
