The next film by James Mangold after a triumphant “Logan: the Wolverine” will be a remake of the French film “the Bodyguard” (original – “Maryland”) of 2015.
In the original ex-soldier with post-traumatic stress disorder takes on a dangerous job – to protect the family of a wealthy Lebanese businessman while the head of the family works abroad. It greatly attracted to the wife of the Lebanese, and the initial antipathy turns into love. Everyone thinks that the family is safe, and only the main character sees threat to life.
Studio Sony extremely happy with the original material and plans to start shooting later this year. The script of the film was written by Taylor Sheridan, best known for “the Killer” and “Any price”, and recently presenting in Cannes his directorial debut – “Windy river”.
