American film Director Joel Schumacher apologized for the film “Batman and Robin”. About the filmmaker told the publication Vice.
“I want to apologize to every fan that I was disappointed, because I think I’m in their debt,” said Schumacher.
The Director noted that after the movie he has lost the respect of producers and colleagues.
“After “Batman and Robin” I have become the dregs of society. I was treated like I killed a baby,” said the filmmaker.
“Batman and Robin” was released in 1997. It was the worst film in history according to Empire magazine and received 11 nominations for the award “Golden raspberry”. The film starred George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman.
The picture was the sequel to another superhero blockbuster Schumacher — Batman forever 1995.
