Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two parts of “Ghostbusters” Creator, Executive producer and last film in the series in 2016, spoke about ambitious plans for the development of the franchise.
“We are constantly thinking to expand our universe of “Ghostbusters”. Because the idea of this franchise goes far beyond new York. I think it would be really cool to see Korean ghosts, or Chinese. Almost every country has stories about ghosts and many are afraid of them. We could create a Corporation of hunters, and their main office was in new York. I think it would be fun,” said Reitman.
The first film of the franchise was released in 1984 and managed to become a real hit, bringing 292 million dollars with a budget of 30 million Sequel was released five years later. The main role in it played by bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney weaver, Harold Ramis and Rick Moranis. The third part of the franchise was “female” as the main characters was replaced by actress Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Movie Sex Guys earned 229 million USD.
