A few days ago, Amy Pascal, producer Sony Pictures, literally “blew up” the community of fans of Marvel, hinting that the new Sony film about Venome with Tom hardy will be included in the MCU. Now Kevin Feige, head of Marvel finally broke the silence and decided to comment on the words of Pascal, stressing that no Tom hardy in the MCU, much to the disappointment of fans, still will not.
In comments ComicBook Pascal and Feige clarified the situation with the characters in the universe of the MCU and “spider-Man”:
“That’s what we do: all these characters are part of the universe in the Marvel comics. In this universe they are all connected to each other. Kevin also creates characters in the MCU universe, and our characters does not belong – with the exception of spider-Man, which belongs to the MCU”.
However, Feige, of course, could not resist another ill-defined answer to a direct question, and when asked if venom and spider-Man will never, ever meet on screen, said its proprietary “We never say never”.
Tom Holland, who will stay in the role of spider-Man for the next few years, also stressed that the Venom in the MCU will not happen: “Everyone asks this question,” he said. “But this will never happen.”
