New review: Oscar Shorts 2017: Movies 28.06.2017



By the end of 2016, the year the qualification for participation in the Oscar competition for the playing of short films (duration along with a caption not more than 40 minutes) received 137 films. Chorus / Mindenki / Sing (2016) — 8/10 (very good)

The touching story of a school choir, who can get everyone who loves to sing. So the new girl Zofia joined the chorus. However, the teacher of music has its own principles, a choir for everyone, but it is not all weak vocalists just have to imitate the singing and keep it secret. But the resourceful students decide to punish an unfair teacher. The film’s Director heard the story that took place in Sweden from his friend and made it in the film, as a result of the award “Oscar” for best fiction short film.

Timecode / Timecode (2016) — 8/10 (very good)

The story of two security guards car Parking Diego works the night shift, and the Moon in the daytime. Looking through the footage, Luna discovers something strange in the behavior of the partner. Woman and TGV / La femme et le TGV (2016) — 8/10 (very good)

Internal enemies / Ennemis interieurs (2016) — 7/10 (good)

Quiet nights / Silent Nights (2016) — 7/10 (good)

An illegal immigrant from Ghana who came to Denmark to earn money — collecting bottles, sleeping in the street getting a penny and ridicule. Familiarity with volunteer down at “the salvation Army” changing the lives of both.
