Projects Studio Aardman I was faced always by accident, but the attitude to work of the last adherents of plasticine animation were good. That “chicken run”, “Wallace and Gromit” offered an interesting story with remarkable characters and a good dose of humor. Was no exception and “Shaun the Sheep”, which I again found it by accident in the list of nominees at Oscar.
The cartoon is a spin-off of the eponymous animated series and tells about a very smart sheep named Shaun and his friends living on the farm. Once Sean gets tired of the sheep’s life and decides to take the day off, but the vacation turns into a series of absurd accidents, which referred them to the big city in search of the missing master. The plot is extremely simple, and the journey from wilderness to civilization all probably seen many times, but the authors furnish everything with a soul, and their style is not changed until the very end. The plot is addictive, full as amusing, if not farcical and touching moments, the characters are bright and vivid, and everything is harmoniously emphasizes a pleasant soundtrack.
“Shaun the sheep” once again confirms the skill of Aardman and gives a warmth that is quite rare in the era of big kinetochore. If you like good cartoons pass is not recommended regardless of age.
