“The subtle charm of sin” is the first in a long series, consisting of fifteen films of the erotic genre from Nini, Grassia, released from 1987 to 1999.
Director and screenwriter Nini, Grassia offers a look at a rather taboo situation, of which an hour and a half, just something for the family and their small entourage had accumulated a lot. And they occur almost every character in the picture. “Il fascino sottile del peccato” is not devoid of drama, seen attempts to make an artistic film, at least in part. The first half of the picture ready to go for an erotic (but not very strong) drama, there are elements of both. A number of scenes: excellent, good, and let alone even more. And then happens not clear to me the whole eroticism comes down to a minimum, emphasis on the plot. I don’t mind but trying to squeeze all the drama without a trace is not particularly good, dramatic is another thing. And it’s not even acting. Plus the transfusion of a sieve, a couple of extra scenes and controversial moments (especially the finale), and the film loses a lot. It is seen that there was a promise and was trying to make something of their own, but in the end we have what we have. The Italian Wikipedia (and KP) said that the film lasts 104 minutes, which is 9 minutes longer than I scanned the film. Conclusion: either the information was wrong, or there is another version which may be more successful.
Performers of the main roles, not all of course, but most play is more than acceptable. So, Claudia Cavalcanti cope quite well, but the actress playing the role of her friend next to her looks doesn’t matter so palpable difference. And the storyline with her is not particularly necessary. Good that it is not so much in the frame, as it could be. Alexandra Delli Colli in her role as moderately convincing. It’s interesting that the actress is only 9 years older than his on-screen daughter Claudia Cavalcanti. And this is the penultimate in the filmography of Alexandra Delli Colli. Having played only 11 films, she has worked in such genres as Comedy, drama, horror. Starred including and Lucio Fulci in the film new York Ripper. Daniel Trebbi are lost on the background of the performers of the main roles. Devote not much time, but it is no less curious, though, if only for the reason that the film gives us a fun frame with a Hairdryer. These Actresses, I remember, and I will continue to get familiar with their filmography. Male characters and performers of their roles, women are inferior, and all because one of them is not spoiling for a fight.
Aldo Tamborelli was often involved in writing soundtracks for films , Nini Grassia. And let, in this case, it’s unclear what his role, the music is great. Only in the movie for two songs. The initial and the final credits are accompanied by the same lyrical song, quite good, but its an instrumental version accompanies most of the scenes of the film. It sounds so many times that by the end of the film you will either love this song or hate it. The second track is quite different, catchy and driving rock (Claudia Cavalcanti acknowledges) that accompanies one of the best scenes of the film. This is not a sin to add to the playlist and listen to repeat. Alas, the soundtrack is even harder to find than the film itself. Any release of Aldo Tamborelli ‘s almost impossible to get, and the music was interesting. It remains to look at films and review films where he showed his talent.
It may seem that I criticize the movie, but I just note its shortcomings. “The subtle charm of sin” to its name. The film is about the sins done and ashamed. It lacks balance, while respecting which could leave a strong erotic tape, and so controversial film, leaving a puzzled, but catchy. So much so, that it is not a sin and to return. All will not advise, but lovers of unusual rarities of vintage erotica and people without complexes completely. Pleasant viewing!
